Privacy Policy

Salam ("the app") is a personal leave-balance tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address, and your name if you provide one. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and name from that provider.
• Your leave data — the leave types, balances, leave requests, reasons, and any notification recipients you enter.
• Push token (iOS) — if you enable notifications, a device push token so we can send your reminders.

We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics, and the app contains no ads.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: authenticate you, store and show your leave balances, and send the reminders you turn on. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own use.

Sharing messages

When you choose to notify a recipient, the app opens Viber or WhatsApp with a message you send yourself. That happens on your device through those apps; we don't send messages on your behalf.

Storage & security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) and served via Vercel. All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt); sessions use signed cookies.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email m7jinah@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Children

Salam is intended for working adults and is not directed at children under 13.
